"Its time to stop"

Extract from a report by Kevin Nash, Bournemouth Daily Echo Wednesday March 9, 2005

Annette Holmes from Poole, managed to quit following a single visit to a hypnotherapist.

She said: “I first started smoking, like most smokers, with some friends at school. By the time I was 17 had a 20-a-day habit.

“I had sort of accepted the fact that I was a smoker. What’s more, I enjoyed smoking.”

“Over the past year, though, my perception has changed and in the New Year I decided it was time for me to give up.

“There was one attempt using patches, but I only lasted 16 hours and I knew that patches weren’t for me.

“Then at the doctors, I saw a leaflet for the Dolphin Hypnotherapy Practice, it promised that after one session I would be a non smoker and it would take all of the craving away. Could it really be that simple?

“I was scared of giving up. To me it was like losing an old friend. But I took a deep breath, rang Dolphin Hypnotherapy and spoke to Trevor Roberts. He told me I would feel really relaxed and wake up a non-smoker. That sounded excellent, but maybe too good to be true?

“Before leaving for my session, I made sure all the ashtrays were cleaned and put away. I was really hopeful it would work. The session itself lasted for about two hours – and amazingly, it worked!

“I have now not smoked for 10 days, which for me is amazing. It is the longest I have gone without a cigarette since the age of 14. I feel I have the strength to continue, and it gets easier with time, I feel fine. After 18 years I’m now a non-smoker.”
