Terms of Service

The patient consents to the following:-

Undergoing treatment as discussed with the therapist.

I have provided the therapist with all relevant information, including

• details of other current treatments
• details of any current medication

Understand that consultation fees are payable at the time of booking and may be paid by Paypal, or credit/debit card through the online booking system.

Understand that unless a minimum of 48 business hours’ notice is given, should an appointment need to be cancelled or rescheduled, the session fee is payable in full.

Understand that fees paid are not refundable; however, a credit note can be issued provided sufficient notice has been given.

Confirm my understanding that fees paid are for the therapist's time, expertise and best efforts. Psychotherapy by its very nature deals with the vagaries of the individual human mind, and therefore, whilst highly likely, success can never be guaranteed, and no such guarantees are implied.

Understands that the exact length of consultations is at my therapist's discretion and may, on occasion, run under or over the allocated time.

Accepts that if it is deemed necessary by my therapist, communication may be made with my family doctor/GP.

Further agrees if working directly with Mr Trefor Roberts, Senior Consultant, Dolphin Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy Practice:-

I understand that during the explanation of some psychological principles, concepts and indeed general discussion, my therapist may use his sense of humour and indeed very strong language (expletives) to help emphasise/convey certain points, and I agree not to take offence at either.

Understand that Mr Roberts is an integrative psychotherapist and will tailor a unique treatment plan involving several different therapeutic interventions governed by various codes of ethics from separate organisations.

Depending on Mr Roberts' time constraints and other factors, including but not limited to the complexity of the case (or absence of same), he reserves the right, at his full discretion, to refer my case to a colleague/associate for further assessment. Furthermore, Mr Roberts reserves the right to decline to take any case or terminate treatment if, in his view to proceed/continue may breach the code of ethics of any professional association.
